Air Source Heat  Pumps

Renewable Energy Experts

From initial design and planning, we can deliver projects from design right through to hand over. Our multi-skilled teams are dynamic and get involved in different parts of each project, this approach improves knowledge within the team and makes everything run smoothly.

A heat pump is a sustainable, energy efficient solution to a boiler. These technologies extract heat from the air to heat your home, which is more cost-effective and efficient than gas or oil. This uses renewable technologies and is a low carbon heat source which can be installed in a wide range of homes.

Benefits of Air Source Heat Pumps

These renewable energy solutions can use as much as 70% natural energy which is absorbed from the outside air and the other 25% comes from electricity.

How does it work?

The air source heat pumps extract heat from the air absorbing this into a refrigerant fluid. This fluid is processed through a compressor which can increase the temperature of the fluid. These pumps can be effective all year round up to lows of -20c.

How do Air Source Heat Pumps reduce costs?

An air-source heat pump is possibly the most energy-efficient heat source for your home, extracting free heat from the air or ground to generate heating and hot water, and reducing your energy bills and carbon footprint.

In a well-insulated property, every kilowatt-hour (kWh) of electricity used to power the heat pump can provide around three kWh of ‘free’ thermal energy.  This means heat pumps can be up to 4x more efficient than boilers. The longer you use it, the more you can save on heating costs. Aside from their eco-credentials, an ASHP is also inexpensive to run and cost-effective in most projects.
